Platonic Touch

Irrespective of who we are or where we come from, we all feel the need to be

cared for, looked at, acknowledged, and by extension, be touched,

because touch is all-encompassing.

Professional Cuddling or Platonic Touch is an alternative form of therapy that nurtures the innate human need for warmth, care, and connection through comforting, non-judgmental touch in a safe space.

WHY TOUCH?

“The potency of the act of touching another person,

even for less than a second, is striking.”

In our increasingly digital lives, where screens and physical distance mediate interactions, this essential form of communication can often be neglected,

leading to feelings of loneliness and emotional disconnect.
Yet, it is through touch that we experience care, connection, and belonging, making it an irreplaceable aspect of our well-being. Touch is also rewarding because it reinforces reciprocity, signals safety, and soothes us in a way words often cannot. Ah, to hold and to be held.

About
PLATONIC TOUCH
HOW DOES IT WORK?

Sessions are based on communication, consent, and respect. They are structured yet deeply personal experiences designed to provide comfort, relaxation, and emotional support. They can be 1 to 3 hours long and are hosted in the privacy of a studio space.

Platonic Touch: All touch is only platonic, meaning non-sexual, non-erotic, and non-romantic. Touch is not a prerequisite; it’s about emotional connection, not physical desire. It can feel comforting and nurturing as the physical affection is intended to promote well-being and relaxation.

Safety & Privacy: Sessions are confidential, and your privacy is always respected. A code of ethics is followed to ensure mutual comfort and safety throughout. No one is ever forced to engage in touch or anything else that makes them uncomfortable.

Open & Ongoing Communication: The foundation of any session is Communication. Your preferences, boundaries, and emotional needs are discussed and respected before, during, and after each session and you are expected to do the same. An open dialogue helps move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and the practitioner.

Client-led Approach: Sessions focus on building presence, connection, and trust, which then allows touch to be integrated (often client-led, with guidance from the practitioner). This is your time to receive care and attention in a way that feels good but remains within the scope of the session and the boundaries of the practitioner.

“Of the five traditional senses, touch is the only one

that is reflexive: one can look without being seen and

hear without being heard, but to touch is to be touched.”
