About

Hi, I’m Simran!

Endlessly fascinated by the idea of how unique yet universal our experiences are, I am drawn to everything that makes me build relationships with people and understand why they think or feel the way they do.

I first came across the concept of Professional Cuddling in an article during my school years. I resonated deeply with it for reasons I didn't understand at the time. Later, while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Media, Literature, and Psychology,

I discovered that psychology, in particular, sparked a deeper curiosity about human connection and intimacy.

I began my professional career in film as an editor and assistant director, I was drawn to explore Professional Cuddling more seriously. This led me to train with Jean Franzblau at Cuddle Sanctuary. My interest expanded beyond touch, prompting me to study intimacy more broadly, eventually leading me to Anne Marie at Intimacy Coach International, where I continue to pursue advanced certification.

As the Me Too movement (2018) brought new awareness to the need for safety and consent in film, I found a natural link between my work and emerging roles in Intimacy Coordination. I became certified as an Intimacy Coordinator, driven by a desire to support performers and directors in creating safer, more authentic scenes.

Between work and vacations, I discovered my connection to the sea and water, which led me to  a form of aquatic bodywork called Watsu. It combines the nurturing elements of touch with the therapeutic qualities of water. I now train in Pondicherry to become a certified Aquatic Bodywork Practitioner.

All these practices led me to reflect more deeply on trauma, prompting me to pursue certification in Clinical Sexual Trauma Therapy with Neha Bhatt. It gave me space to explore my barriers and strengthened my ability to hold space in a truly supportive, trauma-informed way.

My seemingly unrelated curiosities have turned out to be surprisingly connected, leading me to build a space for people to feel held and explore their relationship with themselves and others through care, conversations, and touch.

At the heart of In Finite Spaces is the understanding that intimacy exists between paradoxes—the infinite and the intimate, the expansive and the finite. It’s about how we connect with others, but also with ourselves; the space where our vulnerability meets our strength, where we are allowed to be fully ourselves, but also held by others. This duality reflects the complexity of the human experience—our vast potential for love, connection, and growth, paired with the grounded need for boundaries, personal space and self-care.

My work is an attempt to hold space for life instead of carrying it. I believe in the power of communal spaces that hold our curiosity, complexity, and contradictions.

I remain deeply grateful to the mentors and peers who modelled this while guiding and supporting me, making this path one of continual growth and companionship.
